Finally, after two weeks of what seemed like nonstop work, this thing is FINALLY finished. This is my largest art project to date (literally).
I've developed a taste for J-pop music while working on this, hence why it's titled after "Fly Away" by Izawa Asami and "One Night Carnival" by Kishi-dan. Though a lot of other musical inspiration comes from Takacha's "Movin!", FLOW's "GO! (Fighting Dreamers)", Gorillaz's "Feel Good Inc." (though this isn't J-pop), Orange Range's "Asterisk", Midicronica's "San Francisco", Homemade Kazoku's "Shonen Heart" and "Sora to Umi no Deau Tokoro", and the Phoenix Wright soundtrack, although that was mainly during the times I didn't have the other songs.
This was done as a massive birthday present for my girlfriend. She's paying me a visit in the next couple of weeks and I wanna surprise her with this
This was also done to test my mettle with gargantuan projects such as these. I'll probably do another one of these someday. Just not anytime soon D:
It's been fun though!

This came out wicked awesome; honestly, it deserves a TON more attention :/ Ah wells.
The background addition is really, really nice.

Yeah, it's really too bad that I'm one of the relatively unknown artists on dA
I was at one point thinking, "Yeah, I'll get nominated for a Daily Deviation for sure!", but eh. I remember hearing negative sentiment toward the amount of anime-styled material on the site so I'm lucky that you even believe that this is worthy of more attention
Pfft, anime still has a high chance of getting up there. People just hate anything thats overdone; trust me if it was realism paintings people'd be hating on them just as much

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The photonotes.org Dictionary of Film and Digital Photography is one place to stop and get it all answered. This is quite a valuable resource that explains in depth what a photography term means, and will help those understand who might not know what something is.

Yeah, I know that sounded cheesy as hell, but she'd honestly do more if she could.
She starts college next year though, so possibilities are opening up.
