Valentine's Day is a Wonderful Holiday

For those with significant others, it makes you realize how much you love them.

It also makes you realize how much you love not being broke

I put a gift basket together for my girlfriend this year. I'm exhausted and I put a lot of money into it, but it was worth it. Thankfully, her next birthday is in July, so I have plenty of time to save up some money.

But daaaaaaamn D:

It cost me an arm and a leg to ship the thing out. Damn that heavy-ass pineapple!

I don't have a girlfriend, but that's not the only reason I loathe Valentine's day! According to Christianity (Not Catholicism) V-Day is actualy PAGAN! I'm not religious, but that gives me a free pass to hate it! XD Also, this is not an attack on you, just V-Day, so I'm sorry if you got even a little pissed at this! See ya!

Nearly all holidays have pagan roots, not just Valentine's Day.

-Christmas
-Thanksgiving
-Easter
-Halloween
-Hell, it's not even religiously legit to celebrate your birthday

So unless you're a Jehova's Witness, don't use a "free pass to hate" a holiday because of its roots. That's just ignorant and you'll be cheating yourself out of having a lot of fun on those days.

Hmm... I see your point. But I LIKE Halloween and Turkey Day, and I can't celebrate the former. That pisses me off! But I still hate V-Day and it's commercial beliefs! Maybe when I get a girlfriend I'll think otherwise, but for now, hate is a strong word, but I really, really, really don't like it. Why did I reference that crappy Plain White Tees song? Oh, and I apologize for irking you, I tend to do stupid things without knowing. I guess that's part of having Autism. But I'm not using this as a pass. I'm just putting it out there. Ciao!
